Two days of knowledge sharing on psychotrauma

The international ARQ conference ‘Trauma, crisis and conflict: connecting research and practice’ took place in Hilversum on 28 and 29 September 2023. A scientific conference with international key note speakers and break out sessions in honour of ARQ’s 50th anniversary.

ARQ looks back on: two days of knowledge sharing with 7 internationally renowned key note speakers; the use of ARQ professors as moderators; two international panels; art and culture; 29 break out sessions; 26 submitted posters & flash talks and a livestream with more than 100 viewers.

The organisation is grateful for all the involvement, the positive reactions, the enthusiasm and commitment of visitors and everyone who made this congress possible.

ARQ celebrates its 50th anniversary.

We are proud to invite you to our inter­national conference on the occasion of ARQ’s 50th anniversary. Two days of sharing knowledge and discussing the importance of recognizing, preventing and treating the consequences of trauma, crises and conflict in a globally connected world. 

ARQ helps with shocking events and psychotrauma. We offer people and organisations customised care, advice and share knowledge. ARQ has all psychotrauma expertise under one roof and is therefore unique in the world.

We are very pleased to present a program with many internationally renowned keynote speakers and a series of very interesting symposia, workshops, panel and poster sessions.

Among the confirmed keynote speakers are (alphabetical): Eva Alisic, George Bonanno, Talya Greene, Frank NeunerSoraya Seedat, and Simon Wessely.

Scientific Programme

The programme will include: invited plenary lectures providing overviews of state-of-the-art developments in selected scientific areas, plenary panel discussion on hot topics and time to meet each other and ‘ meet the expert’. In 4 breakout sessions we have workshops, symposia, panels, flash talk sessions or poster presentations.
